Monday Night Mayhem
Going into Monday night, four games were separated by three points or less, and a fifth had one side down 16. By the time Atlanta and New Orleans finished, the league office needed a mop.
Game of the Week: Sacks on the Beach 66, MeggaMen 55
If you turned the TV off Sunday night, you probably thought this one was over. The MeggaMen led 51-35, and the Sacks looked ready to waste a good week. Then Atlanta and New Orleans showed up and handed Sacks on the Beach 31 points of Monday night.
Start with the MeggaMen, who did everything right until the last game. Tetairoa McMillan was the star of the weekend, a 35-point Carolina fireworks show that made Tom feel like a genius. Bryce Young added 18, Ka'imi Fairbairn chipped in 13, and the offense piled up 80 points. The plan was simple: bank the lead, then sit back and watch the rest of the week.
The Sacks had been busy too. Nico Collins delivered 20, Will Reichard added 12 at kicker, and the offense put up 85, which is not a bad week by anyone's standards. It was just a week that left them 16 points short at kickoff.
Then the Falcons' offensive line, the least glamorous position in fantasy football, went off for 18 points. In the process, it turned Atlanta's night into a Sacks on the Beach fundraiser. Tyler Shough chipped in 10 from the other sideline, and Juwan Johnson added another 3 at tight end. That's 31 points from three players who weren't even on the same team. The MeggaMen's lone Monday night entry, Drake London, managed 4, which felt like showing up to a gunfight with a spork.
The final tally: a 27-point net swing on Monday night, and an 11-point win for a team that was left for dead on Sunday. It's also the fifth win for the Sacks in their last six meetings with the MeggaMen, which is starting to feel less like a rivalry and more like a standing appointment. Sacks on the Beach improve to 3-1, while the MeggaMen fall to 1-3 and have a long, quiet week to think about that final Atlanta drive.
Around the League
Amish Electricians 67, Trump Molests Collies 52
The Electricians led by just 3 going into Monday night, then got 12 points from Chris Olave and Chase Young to turn a nail-biter into a comfortable win. Kyren Williams did the heavy lifting all week with 26, and the offense piled up 103 points. The Collies got 23 from Kenneth Walker III but also took a goose egg from Saquon Barkley and a -3 from Jim Harbaugh at head coach.
Crusaders 46, Richard's Lionhearts 32
The Crusaders clung to a 3-point lead until Bijan Robinson showed up Monday night and scored 20 all by himself. Puka Nacua added 17 on Sunday, while Joe Burrow's 18 couldn't keep the Lionhearts close. Richard's Atlanta contingent managed only 9 points, which doesn't go far against a 20-point Bijan.
Rocky Mountain Oysters 16, NASA Tuesdays 16
Both teams scored exactly 50 raw points from their starters, and neither had much to brag about. NASA left 61 points on the bench, including 16 from Arvell Reese, so the reserves outscored the starting lineup by 11. Still, NASA Tuesdays are 3-0-1 and off to the best start in franchise history under new owner William, so nobody in that group chat is complaining.
Gallic Warriors 52, Aint Nothing But a Jew Thing 38
The Gallic Warriors beat ANJ for the first time since 2021, behind 31 points from CeeDee Lamb and 21 from Javonte Williams. Neither team had a starter in Monday night's game, so the 14-point margin was settled well before Atlanta and New Orleans kicked off. ANJ never found its footing, with Ladd McConkey posting a zero.
Norsemen 31, Omar's Coming 29
The Norsemen won their seventh straight over Omar's Coming, with Drake Maye leading the way at 21 points. Neither side had a Monday night starter, so the 2-point margin was set before the late game. Omar's got zeroes from Ja'Marr Chase and Dalton Kincaid, which is how an 0-4 start happens.
