Good playing, bud. Better to be lucky than good is my motto.
Please note that all of my players have converted to Judaism to support me in my quest to end the Tim curse--have no idea who the hell Tim is, but 31 years of losing is pitiful. Not as godawful pitiful as Testudos Revenge, but still pretty terrible.
May the best team win--which in all honesty is probably TR but I have had a rabbit's foot in my ass this whole playoff season so hopefully it helps out today!
Josh just got me hyped for a game I thought would be a blowout. Nicely done!
Playoffs off to a hot start
There are only certain times you can change your HC. Him being fired is one of them. Just send me an email of who you want to replace him.
I feel bad for your dog. Has to listen to your ramblings...
Before I turned the game off I said to the dog I said, "it'll take some Josh Allen-sized miracle to pull this one off" and here we are. But I'm glad it wasn't an actual difference maker because (a) that's messed up, and (b) I won so it's isn't THAT messed up.
I'm challenging the scoring for Josh Allen. A player can't get credit for a passing and receiving TD on the same play. That's BS.
The game stats here https://www.nfl.com/games/49ers-at-bills-2024-reg-13?active-tab=stats doesn't list the receiving TD, although the game book does give him credit for both.
Doesn't change that I lose, but makes it closer. They also double count his 7 receiving yards, but he didn't get points for yardage.
Kickers are scoring more. That is why I took a kicker early in the draft. ( Tom LOVED that pick).... But, why only focus on Kickers? And why try to penalize Kickers while protecting other BS in our scoring? Lots of changes should be made to our scoring system. In fact, lots of changes should be made to Players (why do we have Team OLs but individual Player DL? How come our scoring system only ever creates a couple of TEs that are worth it? Should we be even have "Coaches" when the scoring has nothing to do with Coaching?) You want changes. Fine. The let's just penalize Kickers change is BS. Let's update the scoring rules. Happy to volunteer for that job. Anyone else want to help?
I actually agree though. I look forward to 4 of us debating this at the next draft.
Flat 3 points for all successful FGs.
I think there's truth to this. Do we really want the top kicker to average more PPG than the top WR? With teams kicking more from further distances, maybe it's time we re-weight the positions, either to increase offensive players a bit or decrease OL and K. The game has changed a lot over the years, and it's probably time we re-evaluated our scoring system to accommodate. For example, a PAT is now equal to a 33-yard field goal, so why give 1 point for a PAT but 3 for a 30-yarder?
I say we either reduce kicker and OL points or lower the RB/WR/TE (and maybe QB) combined yardage threshold.
I know I sound like a baby and know one cares.....but we have to change the value of the kicking. A kicker should never be the highest point getter on a team.To put into context....
Boswell would be the
7th best QB
3rd best RB
2nd best WR
1st TE.....by 60 points
That is a top 10 pick
Yep, somehow left off the top row of the table.
